A HONEY producer in Colne Engaine has reached the finals of a magazine's competition.
Lodge Farm Honey is in with a chance of winning a prize as part of delicious. magazine's Produce Awards.
The producer set up the hives in 2015 and the small harvest went to everyone in the family - by 2016 the hives were established.
Founder Ella Martin said: "We have simply poured the spring and summer seasons in a pot for the bees.
“I wanted to sell the honey direct into people's hands this first season so I've done it all myself either on foot, on bicycle or in the honey truck.
"I'm also proud to say that I sold jars to people that have never tasted honey before - and they've come back for more."
Lodge Farm will be at The Suffolk Show from May 31 at Trinity Park in Ipswich.
Top chefs and food writers will judge eight categories in nine regional heats across the UK, looking for leaders in fishing, farming and animal rearing, as well as artisans making the best products from the raw materials.
Regional finalists will be entered into the national final in London, to be judged by some of the top names in the food industry.
