AN egg-citing Easter Enterprise event saw primary school students show off their entrepreneurial skills.
Each class at St Andrew’s Primary School, Halstead, was given a £20 start-up fund and challenged to creatively offer a product or service.
Classes displayed their preparation processes for parents which involved many elements of the curriculum in a real context.
Across the board, and impressive £642 was raised.
Year Two class, Honey Bees, raised the most and will now decide how the profit is spent.
Headteacher, Bridgette Gough, said: “This project captured the children’s imagination and allowed them to experience the many aspects of running a business, if only for one afternoon.
"There was a real buzz around the place and there are certainly some very persuasive future salesmen and women amongst our pupils, this was a great way of linking curriculum elements in an engaging way.”
