Five people including two young children have been involved in a two-vehicle crash.
One man suffered head injuries and another suffered shoulder injuries in the incident which happened at 4pm in White Horse Avenue, Halstead.
The two children were treated for shock and another patient was treated at the scene.
None are thought to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust said: "We sent two hazardous area rapid response vehicles, an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.
"Five patients were treated.
"Two young children are thought to be in shock."
The road is partially blocked near Mount Hill.
