Halstead Heritage Museum is holding an open day on Saturday, to co-incide with the festive fayre and market coming to the town.
It will open from 10am to 4pm and there will also be guided history walks at 11am and 2.30pm, which last approximately one hour.
The museum is based at the Halstead Town Council offices at Mill House, The Causeway and entry is free.
It contains a number of displays including transport through the ages, the history of Courtaulds, a look at the famous Victorian stove manufacturers Portway and various artefacts from Halstead and surrounding villages.
The museum will then be closed from December 1 until January 31.
