A man aiming to walk the world passed through Braintree and Halstead.
Peter Jenkins, 53, from Wiltshire, set off on his three year journey from Land's End on September 29.
It will see him cover 15,500 miles, 28 countries and five continents.
He has been looking for support along his journey, such as places to stay, offers of food and the chance to have a hot shower.
Mr Jenkins said: "Only seven people in history have been verified as having walked around the world with my intention is to emulate these amazing people."
Mr Jenkins plans to take flights from Singapore to Australia, Australia to America and from America to the UK to complete his challenge.
He aims to raise £2million for Cancer Research UK and Unicef.
