An arson victim fears that the attacker will never be caught more than a year after she fled from her burning house with her children.
Police arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with a fire at Glenda Soames’ house in Mitchell Avenue, Halstead, in July last year, but he was released without charge in December.
The mum-of-four said the fire, which caused extensive damage to furniture, clothing, decor and other belongings, stills haunts her.
She urged the person who set fire to her house to come forward so she can move on with her life after fears that the police will never trace who did it.
She said: “They haven’t come across any more evidence and I doubt they ever will as they never found anything at the time."
