Scouts enjoyed a trip of a lifetime to Newfoundland, Canada, in August.
The 16 Explorer Scouts and four leaders from Majendie Steeple Explorer Unit in Castle Hedingham and Trinovantes Explorer Scout Unit in Earls Colne stayed in St John’s after months of fundraising and planning.
They took part in the Adventure14 Canadian Venturer Jamboree, alongside about 500 Scouts from across Canada and ten from Saudi Arabia.
During their trip, they also hiked, cycled, kayaked, went whitewater rafting and ate barbecued moose.
Read about their experiences, in their own words, in this week's Halstead Gazette.
