Get working on your Guy Fawkes’ ready for a competition.

The Friends of Halstead Public Gardens are inviting everyone to create a Guy Fawkes to be displayed in the park on Sunday from 10am until 3pm.

This is the fifth year the event has run and last year there were 20 entries.

The events is open to all clubs, organisations and individuals and there will be awards for the best ones and certificates for everyone who takes part.

Children will also receive a sticker and a lollypop for getting involved.

Guys should be made in the normal way and can be personalised with a character, and can be doing activities such as reading the paper, fishing or bird spotting.

They must be labelled with the name of the creator(s).
