A theatre is hoping its new play will raise the money it needs for new seating.

The Quay Theatre, Sudbury, needs to raise £30,000 for the large project, which theatre runners believe is essential to its future.

Theatre co-ordinator Nicki Murphy was working on the project when she sadly passed away this month and the theatre is determined to continue her work and raise the funds.

Quay Productions will be performing Stephen MacDonald’s Not About Heroes, an emotional story of the friendship between Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen from their first meeting in 1917.

It is on tonight and Saturday starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £9 each.

There will also be an exhibition of Sudbury during the First World War in the foyer on show nights.

The theatre is also offering people the chance to sponsor a seat at £200 each and general donations are also welcome.

Tickets from the box office: 01787 374745, admin@quaytheatre.org.uk, or quaytheatre.org.uk.
