Three scouts have climbed Snowdon twice in one weekend to raise money for a scouting trip to Japan.
Meg Hopkins, of the Trinovantes Explorer Scout Unit in Earls Colne, Lily Maynard, of the 1st Castle Hedingham Scouts and Isabel Page, of the Majendie-Steeple Explorer Scout Unit in Castle Hedingham, raised nearly £4,000 by trekking up Wales’ highest mountain last month.
Following a competitive selection process, the trio have been given the chance to represent the district at the 23rd World Scout Jamboree.
Between them they have to raise £9,000 to make the trip to Japan.
