Caravans are not just for camping holidays.
They also make a rather nifty grotto, as Father Christmas discovered when he took his mobile grotto to Halstead on Saturday.
Halstead Rotary Club helped get him to town, where he parked outside Solar supermarket in Weavers Court to meet the town’s young residents.
Rotarians also sold Christmas trees, and since last week have sold about 50.
All money from the sale of the trees and donations to meet Santa will go to the Phillippines typhoon appeal.
