A Halstead couple have gone Christmas crazy to raise cash for the air ambulance which saved a teenager’s life.
Mariea and Kevin Johnson’s house in Parker Way is the neighbourhood’s star attraction.
Mrs Johnson’s son Hadyn Vaughan-Peacock suffered a massive bleed on the brain following a fall from his bike at the Ramsey Road skate park in August.
The Ramsey School pupil, 14, was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital, in Cambridge, for an emergency three-hour operation.
He has since been recovering and is now able to attend full days at school.
Mrs Johnson said: “The reaction to our lights has been absolutely fantastic.
The Johnson’s will be splitting the cash they raise between the Essex Air Ambulance and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
