A dentist has been accused of bullying colleagues and making a series of basic hygiene failures.

Raghuvir Patel, who runs R Patel and Associates, is charged with throwing x-ray fluid down the sink and keeping clinical waste in an insecure area under the stairs at his practice in Halstead town centre.

A General Dental Council (GDC) hearing, which started last Monday, will hear accusations Mr Patel failed to wear gloves when treating patients.

The charges against Mr Patel relate to a period up until 2011 when his Halstead surgery was located at 74 High Street.

The practice is now situated in a unit in Weavers Court.
