Ethan Hawke is in talks to reunite with Denzel Washington for The Magnificent Seven remake.
The Boyhood star could join his Training Day co-star and director Antoine Fuqua for the upcoming Western reboot, 14 years after sharing the big screen in the 2001 crime thriller, reported Variety.
According to sources, Ethan is in final negotiations to star in the film, which Denzel and Antoine are already on board for.
Chris Pratt and Haley Bennett have also signed up for the movie, which has been adapted by John Lee Hancock and Nic Pizzolatto.
The Magnificent Seven, a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai, starred Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen as the leaders of a group of seven cowboys protecting a Mexican village from a group of bandits.
Training Day was a box office success when it was released in 2001. It also led to Ethan and Denzel receiving Oscar nominations for their performances, with the latter winning the best actor gong.
