Public Path Diversion Order The District of Braintree Highways Act 1980-Section 119 Notice of Confirmation of an Order Footpath 25 Great Bardfield
The above Order was confirmed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs on 3rd May, 2018 with conditions under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The conditions to the Order are:
* On the fifth line of part 2 of the order 'Description of the site of new paths' the reference to ' south-easterly' shall be deleted and replaced with 'south-westerly'.
* The reference to KG & FG at Point A and FG at point B on the Order Map shall be removed.
A part length of Footpath 25 Great Bardfield starting from a point just west of the highway known as Daw Street and running in a south westerly direction for 94 metres to the ditch and then continuing in a westerly direction across the next field for a distance of 246 metres will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a north north easterly direction along the field boundary for a distance of 32 metres then continuing in a generally south easterly direction along the field boundary on the south side of the River pant for a distance of 100 metres. Then continuing in a generally north westerly direction along the field boundary for a distance of 86 metres and then in a west north westerly direction then in a southerly direction around the field boundary for a distance of 107 metres and finally in a west south westerly direction along the field boundary for a distance of 110 metres to the same above point where it continues unaffected.
A copy of the above Order and Order Map have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Braintree District Council and at Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford during normal working hours. Copies of an Order and Order map are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge. The path will come into effect on 1st June, 2018 but any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the date below to make an application to the High Court.

(Albert Road, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Albert Road, Witham) (Suspension of One-Way) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Albert Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Cut Throat Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a southerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in Albert Road, Witham in the District of Braintree as stated in 'The Essex County Council (Various Streets, Witham) (One Way Traffic) Order 2001' for the duration of the closure.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th May 2018 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034788261 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while electrical connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Braintree Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 17th May 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
