(Various Roads, Wickham Bishops) (30MPH Speed Limit) Order 201*
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Section 84(1) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To extend the existing 30MPH speed limit on the following length
of Church Road, Wickham Bishops and introduce a 30MPH speed limit on the following length
of Mope Lane and Station Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon:
Church Road From a point approximately 10 metres west of its junction with Church Close (the terminal point of the existing 30mph restriction), in a westerly direction to its junction with Mope Lane, a distance of approximately 198 metres.
Mope Lane From its junction with Station Road, in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 10 metres.
Station Road From its junction with Church Road, in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 7 metres.
'The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Wickham Bishops) (Restricted Road) Order 2008' is hereby revoked, the restrictions will however continue in force by virtue of this order. (Tillingham Road, Asheldham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tillingham Road, Asheldham in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Southminster Road for a distance of approximately 632m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st November 2017 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CC1W000000IBB8AJPC1 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replacing damaged telephone pole works are undertaken by BT. An alternative route is available via Tillingham Road, Southminster Road, Green Lane,
Cripplegate, North End, North Street, High Street, Pantile Hill, Queen Street, Scotts Hill,
Southfield Way, Main Road, Burnham Road - B1018, Burnham Road, Steeple Road, Mayland Garage, Maldon Road, Jeagor Farm, Gospel Corner, Chapel Corner, The Street, Bradwell Road, West Newlands Farm, West Of Black House Farm, Motts Farm Stone Road, The Square, South Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th November 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Maldon District) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.12) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District of Maldon as specified in Schedule 1.
2. A temporary 'No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area)
(Consolidation) Order 2008" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No
Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions
on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the
aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 16th November
2017 exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to
facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for
emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will
be informed of the dates of each phase via letter / leaflet drop and advanced warning signs
on the road.
