Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit on B1256 Pods Brook Road in the District of Braintree as specified (The road is currently national speed limit/derestricted):
Road Description
B1256 Pods BOTH CARRIAGEWAYS: From the existing National Brook Road, Speed Limit sign located at a point approximately Braintree 25 metres south of its junction with the B1256 Rayne Road Roundabout, south for a distance of approximately 800 metres to its junction with the A120 Roundabout.
'The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Great Notley Garden Village) (De-restriction) Order 1996' is hereby temporarily suspended insofar as it relates to the B1256 from its junction with the A120 Braintree and Rayne Bypass at Panners Roundabout northwards for a distance of 70 metres only. All other restrictions will remain in force. The temporary speed restriction is scheduled to commence 3 July 2017 for up to 18 months or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while constructions works are undertaken. The Order will come into effect on 3 July 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Great Canfield Road, Great Canfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Great Canfield Road, Great Canfield in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 50m from its junction with Canfield Drive for a distance of approximately 221 m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st August 2017 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005MU1WBAUSEIBQFL6DZ01 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Great Canfield Road, Dunmow Road, Station Road, Green Street and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 13th July 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Parsonage Lane, Barnston) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parsonage Lane, Barnston in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Old Rectory Lane for a distance of approximately 66 m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th August 2017 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034771525 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole transfer works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Chelmsford Road, Parsonage Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th July 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
