Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council is seeking Listed Building Consent for repairs to the north and south leet tunnels of the bridge at Beeleigh Mill, Abbey Turning, Maldon, CM9 6LL - Application ref: CC/MAL/23/22/LB
Beeleigh Steam Mill and Bridge Over Tail Race is a Grade II Listed Building and is also located within the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation Conservation Area.

(Footpaths 22 and 28, Tollesbury, Maldon), (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section S14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpaths 22 and 28, in the Parish of Tollesbury in the District of Maldon. Footpath 28 from the stock gate near the RSPB Old Hall Marshes Office, in a north-westerly direction, till the next RSPB stock gate. For a distance of approximately 472 metres. Footpath 22 from the RSPB stock gate on the counter wall to the large area of hardstanding where access to the footpath on the seawall can be gained using the seawall steps. For a distance of approximately 1,100 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 August 2022 to 31 November 2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required to allow for ecological improvement works to take place.
Alternative route for Footpath 28 will be via a Permissive footpath managed by the RSPB, known locally as the "Goose friendly path", and vice versa. Alternative route for Footpath 22 will depend on the phase of the works: Where possible the footpath will be diverted onto the counter wall adjacent to footpath 22 whilst closed. This crosses the main track and back onto the seawall signage. Another alternative route for Footpath 22 will be via Footpath 29, around the remainder of the seawall circular route to the RSPB car park and then back onto Footpath 22.
The Order will come into effect on 01 August 2022 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Ashfield Farm Road, Ulting) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ashfield Farm Road, Ulting in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 150m south east of its junction with Crouchmans Farm Road for a distance of approximately 245m in a south easterly then easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th April 2022 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC111WBKWDV8Y001 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Crouchmans Farm Road, Ulting Road, The Green, Maldon Road and vice versa (with access only into Ashfield Farm Road). The Order will come into effect on 7th April 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Birchwood Road, Purleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Birchwood Road, Purleigh in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 80m south east of the junction with Chimney Lane for a distance of approximately 225m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th April 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA55356837 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Birchwood Road, Hackmans Lane, Marlpits Road, Burnham Road, Chelmsford Road, Lodge Lane and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 7th April 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Fambridge Road, Purleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fambridge Road, Purleigh in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 100m south east of its junction with Blind Lane for a distance of approximately 655m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st May 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA54727721 - Openreach). (The Street, Tolleshunt Major/Little Totham) (Temporary Introduction of 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction in that length of The Street, Tolleshunt Major/Little Totham in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 35m south of the junction with Witham Road for a distance of approximately 440m in a south easterly direction. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 25th April 2022 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWD1MN60N003 & 05 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.
The Order will come into effect on 7th April 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Various Roads, District of Maldon/City of Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.2) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Maldon/City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Areas) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
"The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Areas) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 7th April 2022 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th April 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30071503795 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via St Stephens Road, Latchingdon Road, Fambridge Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 24th March 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
