(East Street, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of East Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Market Hill to its junction with St Peters Road a distance of approximately 700m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th January 2021 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2279297A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ironwork works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Market Hill, Church Street, Church Green, Colne Road, St Peters Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 17th December 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) & (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) (Streetworks No.34) Order 2020 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those various lengths of roads in the District of Braintree as detailed in the Schedule.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in the various lengths of road as detailed in the schedule.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the various lengths of roads as specified in the schedule for the duration of the restrictions in order to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works are scheduled to commence after 17th December 2020, as stated on a valid
permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing
and/or displayed on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and
then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion
routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each
phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while superfast
installation cabling works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
