(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Blackmore End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 440m southeast of both junctions with Hedingham Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th August 2020 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03157473518 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while valve repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Parkhall Road, Church Road, Hedingham Road, Braintree Road, Queen Street, Potter Street, Swan Street, Rectory Road, Prayors Hill, Wethersfield Road, Almshouse Green and vice versa.


The Order will come into effect on 13th August 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Cock Green Road, Felsted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cock Green Road, Felsted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 390m north of the junctions with Causeway End Road for a distance of approximately 270m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st August 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005DL1W00000PTMS190731 – BT).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole examination works are undertaken by BT.


An alternative route is available via Cock Green Road, Causeway End Road, Felsted Road, School Lane, Dumney Lane, Main Road, Great Leighs Bypass Roundabout South, Great Leighs Bypass, Strawbrook Hill, Braintree Road, Sheepcotes Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, Warners Farm Roundabout, Hartford End, Leez Lane, Chelmsford Road, Watch House Green and vice versa.


The Order will come into effect on 13th August 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier .


(Damases Lane, Boreham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Damases Lane, Boreham in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 105m south east of its junction with Main Road for a distance of approximately 340m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th August 2020 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWBKCWJ5H001 – BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by BT.

An alternative route is available via Damases Lane, Mowden Hall Lane, London Road, Main Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 13th August 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Green Road/ Brent Hall Road/The Causeway/Bridge Street, Finchingfield)
(Temporary Introduction of Clearway) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:


1. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Stopping and No Loading’ restriction in that length of Green Road, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree from its junction with Brent Hall Road to its junction with The Green a distance of approximately 95m.


2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Stopping and No Loading’ restriction in that length of Brent Hall Road, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree from its junction with Green Road to its junction with The Green a distance of approximately 58m.


3. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Stopping and No Loading’ restriction in that length of The Causeway, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree from both junctions with The Green for a distance of approximately 60m in a northerly direction.


4. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Stopping and No Loading’ restriction in that length of Bridge Street, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree from its junction with The Green for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction.


“The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.


The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 17th August 2020 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10002931 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.


The Order will come into effect on 13th August 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Hollow Road, Kelvedon)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hollow Road, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Woodhouse Lane for a distance of approximately 2315m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2260741 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The Order will come into effect on 13th August 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Kings Lane, Stisted)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

that the Essex County Council intends, not

less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kings Lane, Stisted in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Coggeshall Road to its junction with The Street a distance of approximately 2500m. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beazley End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 495m southeast of its junction with Codham Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 240m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CC1W0011AUGEA4URC95 – BT). (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Finchingfield Road, Steeple Bumpstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 550m north of its junction with Eggshell Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01456875935 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given

that the Essex County Council has made the

above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Peg Millars Lane, Fairstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 950m east of its junction with Fairstead Road for a distance of approximately 155m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th August 2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005MQ1W00TERLINGHV3351 – BT). (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rickstones Road, Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, from both junctions with Church Road for a distance of approximately 155m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2020 for 6 nights, (20:00 - 06:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2294818 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the installation of overheight vehicle detection system is undertaken by Essex County Council. The Order came into effect on 30th July 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Street/ Blake End, Great Saling in the District of Braintree, from the junction with Picotts Lane to the junction with Dunmow Road a distance of approximately 3130m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th August 2020 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2298197-EH2298146 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Witham Road, Little Braxted in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 120m southeast of its junction with Little Braxted Lane for a distance of approximately 135m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005DL1W0000PTMS214110A – BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by BT.
