Notice is hereby given that under Sections 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the Essex County Council proposes to upgrade the traffic signal controlled crossings at the junction of A1321 Broadmayne, with Ghyllgrove and Southernhay in the Borough of Basildon as shown below:

Upgrade of far side Pedestrian crossing to staggered Toucan Crossing Road Description



A1321 WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY: The centre line of the Toucan crossing



Broadmayne is to be located approximately 7.8 metres east of its junction with

eastern kerb line of Southernhay. Width to be 4 metres between

crossing studs

EASTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY: The centre line of the Toucan crossing is to be located approximately 33.9 metres east of its junction with eastern kerb line of Ghyllgrove. Width to be 4 metres between crossing studs

Upgrade of far side Pedestrian crossing to staggered Puffin Crossing Road Description



A1321 WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY: The centre line of the Puffin crossing



Broadmayne is to be located approximately 16.6 metres west of its junction with

western kerb line of Southernhay. Width to be 2.8 metres between

crossing studs.

EASTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY: The centre line of the Puffin crossing is to be located approximately 8.7 metres west of its junction with western kerb line of Ghyllgrove. Width to be 2.4 metres between crossing studs.

Upgrade of uncontrolled crossing to Toucan Crossing Road Description



Ghyllgrove The centre line of the Toucan crossing is to be located approximately



6.4 metres north of the northern kerb line of A1321 Broadmayne. Width to be 4 metres between crossing studs.

(Footpath 9, Hullbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 9, Hullbridge in the District of Rochford, from the land boundary of Brandy Hole Yacht Club, south west for approximately 165 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13/07/2020 to 18/12/2020 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow materials associated with the urgent sea defence embankment repairs to be transported using motorised wheelbarrows. The alternative route will be via Kingsmans Farm Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 13/07/2020 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Footpath 91, Benfleet) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2020

Further to a notice: Under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which commenced on 25/06/2020.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 91, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point approximately 10 metres south of Golf Ride, south for approximately 5 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 16/07/2020 for 6 months, weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing, and is required for the safety of the public due to the collapse of the footbridge deck.

The alternative route will be Grove Road, High Road, Thundersley Park Road, Golf Ride and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16/07/2020 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Botney Hill Road, Little Burstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Botney Hill Road, Little Burstead in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 185m west of its junction with Hatches Farm Road for a distance of approximately 215m in a southwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28/07/2020 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWBHRDN0B001 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by BT.

An alternative route is available via Tye Common Road, Hatches Farm Road, London Road, Rayleigh Road, Hutton Village, Hanging Hill Lane, Pondfield Lane, Running Waters, Ingrave Road Roundabout, Brentwood Road, Priests Field, Cricketers Lane and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chittock Gate, Barstable) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chittock Gate, Barstable in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Timberlog Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27/07/2020 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0071000927082 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Hockley Road, Long Riding, Timberlog Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(High Bank & Holly Bank, Langdon Hills) (Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in that length of High Bank, Langdon Hills in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Holly Bank for a distance of approximately 35m in a northerly direction.



2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in that length of Holly Bank, Langdon Hills in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with High Bank for a distance of approximately 20m in an easterly direction.



"The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 02/07/2020, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
