PUBLIC NOTICE BASILDON BOROUGH COUNCIL The Borough of Basildon (Off Street Parking Places) Consolidation (Amendment No.3) Order 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Basildon Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council" in exercise of its powers under Sections 32,33 and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), as amended, and Part 6 and Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, intends to make amendments to the above mentioned order. The effect of which will be as follows:
The provisions of the Borough of Basildon (Off Street Parking Places) consolidation Order 2008 are sought to be amended to:
By the addition of "17a" - "Specific Provisions Relation to Blue Badge Bays"
The provisions of Article 16 to 17 of the Order shall be extended in respect of the Council sheltered accommodation schemes to include the following locations and spaces, Queens Park Court (4), Hillhouse Court (4), Carvers Wood (1), Nichol Claremont(1), The Brambles (2), Cromer Avenue (1), Lanhams Court (2), Bradwell Court (2), Eliot Close (2), Meadow Court (2), Havengore (1), Holgate (3), Tanswell Court (2), Hockley Road (1) Afflets Court (1), Charter House (1), Whitmore Court (1), Hill Court (1). The Council Leisure facilities to include Basildon Sporting Village (16) and Eversley Leisure Centre (5). The Council Neighbourhood shop fronts, BallardsWalk(4) Clay Hill Road (2), Felmores End (2), Nightingales/Great Berry (3) Staceys Corner (2) Jolly Friar (4), Church Road, Whitmore Way (4) and Triangle Shops (2). Restrictions in place from 8am to 6pm Monday to Sunday, anyone found in the spaces without a valid blue badge or parked for longer than 3 hours will result in the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice up to the maximum of £70 or vehicle removal, whichever is appropriate given the circumstances. Penalty Charge Notices will be discounted by 50% if full payment is received within 14 days. Copies of the draft Order, plans and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be examined at these Offices between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.15 pm, Mondays to Fridays until 9 April 2020 and also at the Corporate Information Service (E Block), County Hall, Chelmsford. They will also be available at Basildon, Billericay, Laindon, Pitsea and Wickford Library.
Any objections or representations about the proposed Order should be made in writing to the Solicitor to the Council quoting reference L/2019/123/SH, at the address given below, by 9 April 2020
