Amanda Holden for Prime Minister?

Halstead Gazette: Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden hasn't completely ruled out a career in politics Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden hasn't completely ruled out a career in politics

Amanda Holden may be busy with judging duties on Britain's Got Talent - but she has not ruled out running for Prime Minister.

The talent show panellist said she loves "changing people's opinions of me" and loves to "surprise people".

"It's the ultimate 'putting two fingers up' to those who underestimate me," she told The Sunday Mirror Magazine Notebook.

Holden, 43, said she would like to get back into drama and said there "could be more current affairs stuff".

Asked if a career in politics could beckon, the TV star said: "Yay, Mandy for Prime Minister... or at least Mayoress of London. Why not?"

Holden also told the magazine about her parenting advice to BGT guru Simon Cowell.

"I just told Simon he'd love Eric (Cowell's baby son) more than he loves himself, and I think that's true."

I reckon she'd probably do a far better job than the incumbent....I'd vote for her, She'd be the first and probably only PM I'll ever fancy.

Holden as PM?

She revealed her snobbery when she was talking about Susan Boyle the other day confessing that initially she'd written her off as rubbish as "after all she arrived on a bus". (*Now come on, Amanda, perhaps SuBo had given her chauffeur the day off that day?!)

Shows how much the kind of world they live in is so remote to ours. We've already got a crew like that governing us, thanks Amanda.
