A NEW plaque has been placed at Halstead Amateur Boxing Club in memory of former chairman Bob Lockhart Letham, who passed away recently.
The newly installed plaque, which has been put up at the club's gym thanks to sponsorship from Daniel Robinson & Sons Ltd, joins another that Halstead ABC have to remember their former founders and members.
Bob was Halstead Amateur Boxing Club's chairman from 1975 to 1985 and was fondly remembered by head coach George Cook.
He said: "Bob was larger than life and a real character always cracking jokes but always took his role at the club seriously.
"It was a pleasure to have known him."
Terry Wright and Derek Holmes from Daniel Robinson & Sons Ltd joined Cook and junior coach Caroline Searles to unveil the Roll of Honour Memoriam plaque.
