HALSTEAD Swimming Club produced an exceptional performance at this year's county competition, which took place over ten separate days.

The overall points scored for podium finishes left them 20th out of approximately 35 clubs.

The final weekend of competition saw some outstanding performances at Basildon Sporting Village.

Final placings were achieved by Katherine Daynes, seventh in the 15 years open 100 metres breaststroke, Sasha Hutchison, fourth in the 17 years 100m breaststroke, and Ole Mills, who finished second with a medal placing in the 18 years 200m breaststroke.

Thomas Lock was eighth in the 17 years backstroke and Jodie Root fifth in the 16 years backstroke.
