THERE will be early action for Sudbury Motor Cycle Club as the New Year starts on Bank Holiday Monday with them hosting the third Extreme Enduro event at Foxborough Quarry in Sible Hedingham.

The organisers have again lengthened the course and added some more obstacles during the month of December and are hoping the weather will be kind for the run up and on the day of the event.

Spectators are welcome and the admission is £5 per person, but those attending are requested to turn up well in advance of the 11am start.

If conditions are wet and muddy like the last event the club hosted, they will have to restrict admission as parking will be limited.

Charlie Frost, who is from Bath, has indicated he will be riding again to retain his title and will make a debut on a new machine - a Sherco supported by Active Bike Sport and Malcolm Rathmell Sport.

The bike was a well-earned reward for his second place in the 2016 British Extreme Enduro Championship.

The classes on the day at the Sudbury event are Pro, Expert, Clubman and Trials, with a Le Mans-style start that is a downhill run to the bikes then two hours of intense riding.
