THE trio of Gill Cresswell, Thomas Murton and vice-captain Gary Beck romped home ahead of a field of 22 other mixed teams to win the Presidents Bowl at Colne Valley Golf Club.
The competition was a shambles format, taking the best two stableford scores per hole saw and the leading threesome won with a score of 98 points.
The second-placed team of Jack Perfect-Brown, Keith Augustus and Ian Hammond came in with 95 points, closely followed by Daisy Eves, Christopher Amor and Peter Thomas on 93.
Meanwhile, there was a win for John Anderson in the seniors' Monthly Medal as his nett 68 was enough to secure victory and Ruth Eyre-Pugh took honours in the ladies' monthly stableford with a solid 37 points.
Colin Whybrew edged Steve Potter on countback to take the win, after both had 38 points, in the men's non-drawn stableford.
