THE seniors at the Essex Golf and Country Club hosted a friendly match against their sister club Benton Hall, with the visitors claiming a well-deserved 4½-3½ win.
Crawford McKee won nearest the pin for the guests on the 11th hole and Roger Farson took honours on the 14th.
In a parallel seniors stableford, John Phillipson won with 35 points, with Trevor Jones second on 34 and Brian Nicholas third with 33.
