THE Greenfields Community Housing charity golf day returned to Gosfield Lake Golf Club with Greenfield’s residents choosing to support the Essex Air Ambulance with the funds raised.

This year’s event was contested by 20 teams and team RBS Not The Bank won by the narrowest of margins with 125 points on countback.

The RBS Tree Surgery players were Steven Sprunt, Mark Sprunt, Luke Whybrow and Lloyd Palmer and an individual score of 41 points by Steven Sprunt contributed greatly to the victory score.

In second place, was Essex and Anglia Preservation with an equally high 125 points and losing out on the trophy only over the last six holes.

Paul Donald, Stewart Winchester, Tommy Smith and Paul Winchester made up the second-placed team.

In third place,, and only two points further back were The Brothers and Two Others team of Adam Crane, Sam Benson, Dave Flack and Daniel Crane.

Further rewards went to Daniel Crane as he took the best individual score with 43 points.

Chief Executive of Greenfields Community Housing, Phil Adams presented the trophy and other prizes.
