IT was a victorious day for Josh Spinks as Halstead and District Motor Cycle Club held the annual Richard Fitch Trophy motocross meeting at Little Loveney Hall in Wakes Colne.

The main race of the day was for Richard Fitch Trophy and it brought a win for Spinks on what was to be a profitable day for him.

A trio of Halstead club riders - Brad Tomlin, Jason Morland and Tommie Schofield - all featured in the top six.

The meeting also included a round of the Eastern EVO Championship All-comers.

Spinks proved untouchable in Group A again as he claimed a hat-trick of wins to take overall honours on the day.

Second overall on the day was Luke Parker with second, third and fourth place finishes in the three rounds and Brad Tomalin ensured there was a local presence on the podium as the Halstead club rider claimed third spot.

Three Halstead riders - Brendon Mayers, Morland and Schofield - all had good race results in the Expert class.

Overall Group B honours went to John Bavin, while Halstead's Darcy Robarts, Mark Gardener, David Cox and Joe Marsh were all in the top ten overall and in Group C, three good race results came from Halstead veteran rider Vince Pryke as he secured second overall on the day.

In the EVO Championship, riding for the Braintree club, Jordan Pasquale took the overall win.

At the end of racing, Gill Fitch made the presentations to the various class winners.
