However, the winner was Brian Geer, who also scored 43 points and took the win on countback.
The seniors had a friendly match against Maldon, which they won 6-2.

The Essex also played a home friendly against Barkway, which was won 6½-1½ with nearest the pin being won by Rob Chisholm.
