THREE players were tied on net 77 in the ladies' Medal at Braintree Golf Club, but Valerie Bethell was declared the winner on countback.
Off a handicap of 15, Betthell took the prize ahead of Diana Hughes (14) and Debra Blundell (29), who finished a shot ahead of Eva Kaisa Bolland (21).
The senior men’s Texas Scramble saw Andrew Bardell, Michael Collard and Keith Lawless finish first with 62.3.
Gordon Hewitt, Steve Lythall and Richard Turner were runners-up with 64.2, just ahead of Michael Banthorpe, Roy Barnes and David Bethell in third on 64.3.
