Halstead Town will be hoping for a bumper crowd on Saturday as they conclude their Thurlow Nunn League division one home fixtures against King’s Lynn Town Reserves with free entry for everyone attending.

The Humbugs will be throwing open the Rosemary Lane doors for the game, that kicks off at 3pm, and they are hoping for a big turnout of local support to cheer them on as they pursue their promotion ambitions against the Linnets.

The free entry offer is a gesture from the club to say thank you for all the support they have received this year and also to allow new supporters to sample the improved facilities that have been installed at Rosemary Lane.

If it is anything like last weekend’s home fixture against Stowmarket, it will be a cracking encounter.

A delegation of Halstead Town councillors were fortunate enough to be among the crowd for that game as they showed their support for the Humbugs and their promotion push.

The group were led by mayor David Hume and he was joined by his deputy mayor Shirley Diver and councillors Dave Gronland, Martin Day, Eileen Penn and Andy Penn.

The group were representing www.visithalstead.co.uk which is a website highlighting the many things that Halstead has to offer.
