Eric Swanston, Peter Thomson and Dickie Bird were top of a good-sized field in the annual Ladies and Seniors competition at Colne Valley Golf Club.
They won with a score of 94 points, followed by Trevor Jarman, Michael Hoines and Peter Blowers with 83 as they took second on countback from Brian Hayward, Adrian Stevens and Sue Gilbert.
Round six of the Ladies’ League brought victory for Sue Gilbert with 22 points from Lesley Knight and Ruth Eyre-Pugh, who both had 20.
The end of the ladies’ Winter League saw Celia Larkham triumphant with 35 points from the best four from six games, closely followed by Ruth Eyre-Pugh and Sue Gilbert The men’s stableford was won by Steve Potter with 39 points, from Henry Dow with 36 points and Derek Dane with 32.
