Braintree Golf Club assistant professional Steve Hambling and members Paul Buchan, Phil Townsend and Kevin Thomson achieved their second pro-am victory of the year.
On fast greens at Toot Hill and with the best two of four to count, the team racked up 80 points to seal victory by a point.
Meanwhile, low handicappers commanded the weekend Stableford competitions at Stisted.
On Saturday, James Hedger, off two, posted 39 points but only took first place on countback over David Hammond (18).
There was also a countback to decide third place on 34 points, with Stewart Gason (23) gaining the verdict over Kevin Carling (10) and Graham Milligan (26). The Sunday competition was even more dominated by low handicap players with Sean Kelly (5) winning with 39 points finishing a point ahead of Callum Pipe (+1) and Stephen Smith (5).
A ladies’ Par Bogey competition saw Geraldine Stuckey (24) winning on +3, while Alison Holborn (36) edged out Sue Scott (20) for second after both finished on level.
