Joe Mason turned in an amazing performance to win the Sunday Stableford at Braintree Golf Club.
After overnight rain and with a tricky breeze, Mason rattled up 44 points off a handicap of 23 to finish eight points ahead of the field.
His handicap was duly cut by three strokes.
Tony Craven (6) took second on countback with 36 points, ahead of Alan Simmons (8) in third.
A countback on 36 points was also needed to decide the Saturday Stableford.
The win went in favour of Graham Milligan (23) as he pipped John Earl (3), with Dermot Burns (13) in third place.
A ladies’ nine-hole stableford was won by Julie Wright (22) with 19 points.
She won on countback from Sue Scott (20), while a point behind in third place was Mary Goodwin (13).
