Halstead Boxing Club head coach George Cook joined two of the club’s members Gavin Allen and James Smith on the start line for the Stebbing ten-mile road race.
Allen, who is from Halstead, was the first of the trio to finish in a time of 57 minutes six seconds as he came sixth overall and claimed silver in the M40 category.
Smith was 11th overall in 58m 44s, while Cook finished in one hour 41m 44s.
