Halstead Road Runners fielded an impressive 13 runners at the popular Stebbing Remembrance Day road race and personal bests were sent tumbling.

The field of more than 400 runners observed the two-minute silence impeccably before setting off on the tough ten-mile course.

Captain Jim Clark was the first of the yellow vests home in a personal best (PB) time of one hour seven minutes 16 seconds and set the tone for the majority of the Halstead Road Runners, with seven others also setting new PB times.

Tom Porter made his debut for the club and ran an very good time of 1h 1m, while newly-elected vice-chairman Bob Langley claimed age group honours to take top spot in the V60 age category.
