Bill, Chas and Rob are the winning Essex trio
MEMBERS of The Essex Golf and Country Club seniors’ section turned out in awful weather to play in their captain’s farewell match.
This was a team event, in which the best two scores from the three team members counted towards a team total. Out of the 31 players taking part, the winners were Bill Sharpe, Chas Gregg and Rob Rayner, with 85 stableford points.
Nearest the pin on the seventh hole was Bill Attwood.
