Gosfield Lake Golf Club junior captain Louis Brown led from the front alongside his father Robert as they took victory in the Adult/Junior competition.

Having won the competition on two previous occasions, it was Louis’ last appearance as he will no longer be a junior next year, but he and his father set a blistering pace as the first group out on the Lakes course.

No-one could match their score of 82 points, with Ben Murray and Bill Dawson getting closest in second with a total of 72.

Nearest the pin prizes were won by Murray on the eighth and Harry Rayner on the 17th.

Teams on the Meadows course played a nine-hole combined stableford, with the clear winners being Angela Stanton and daughter Lauren with a score of 40 points.

In second place was Glyn Robinson with grandson Thomas Cooper on 33 points, while nearest the pin was Lauren Stanton and the best par threes was won by Justin Phillips.

There was a joint presentation of prizes by junior organisers Andy Stoney and Glyn Wrench.
