JAMES Murray feels there is unfinished business to be concluded now that he is back at Halstead Town.

The 23-year-old forward was a key member of Mark Benterman’s squad when they came so close to securing Thurlow Nunn League division one promotion two years ago.

He left to move up the non-league pyramid last season as he joined premier division Haverhill Rovers, but has been persuaded to return to Rosemary Lane by Benterman for another shot at getting the Humbugs promoted this year.

And the disappointment of missing out two years ago still rankles, so he is determined that they should set the record straight this season.

“I’m very pleased to be back,” said Murray.

“I had a few offers from other clubs in the premier division, but I’m close to Mark (Benterman) and Halstead is on my doorstep so I’m looking forward to it.

“I feel as if I have a bit of unfinished business."
