BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT came from behind twice to draw 3-3 at home to Conference South side Concord Rangers on Saturday.
Phil Kelly (two) and George Clarke scored their goals, in the club’s first pre-season friendly of the summer.
In the weekend’s other friendlies, BRAINTREE TOWN sides played on both Friday and Saturday.
They started with a 2-1 victory at home to Leyton Orient and then won by the same score at Long Melford.
STANWAY ROVERS and MALDON & TIPTREE met at The Hawthorns on Friday.
Rovers won 3-2 thanks to goals from Jamie Shaw, Sam Cripps and Jake Clowsley.
BRANTHAM ATHLETIC surrendered a lead as they lost 2-1 at home to Colchester United’s under-21s.
Both U’s goals were scored by triallists.
HALSTEAD TOWN, fielded ten new players in their 18-man squad, lost 1-0 at Tiptree Jobserve.
However, boss Mark Benterman said: “I was over the moon with our performance.”
