England and Australia set to clash at Halstead
International cricket will be coming to Halstead on Sunday.
Fans will get a taste of the Ashes battles to come this summer as Halstead’s Star Stile ground plays host to an official One Day International encounter between the England Over-60s and Australia Over-60s.
Sunday is also the day of the Halstead VPs team when around 50 guests ar expected and a barbecue is being planned following the England and Australia game.
The game will be 50 overs per side and is due to start at noon, but that’s not the only Antipodean action at Star Stile as the following day will see the Australian Over-60s lining up against the Essex Over-60s in a 45 overs per side encounter starting at 12.30pm.
