Some foul weather didn’t deter 13 Halstead Road Runners from completing the ever-popular Colchester Half-Marathon.

Starting and finishing at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, home of Colchester United, the 13.1 mile route takes in the town’s High Street and heads out to Langham before returning to the finish.

Aaron Heard and Jim Leaney both managed personal bests (PBs), while Jenn Langley, recovering from injury, ran her first half-marathon in preparation for her date in London next month.

Meanwhile, Dan Hollinshead, Jim Clark and Sam Wolton enjoyed a tussle throughout the race with less than a minute separating the trio at the finish line.
