The winner of this year’s Jim Hibbert Memorial stableford at the Essex Golf and Country Club was seniors captain Norman Stechman.
This seniors’ competition was played on a sunny but cold and blustery day and 39 players competed for the generous prizes on offer.
In third place, with 33 points, was Ian Dunbar, with Bill Attwood one point ahead in second.
However, no-one could touch Stechman’s 38 points as he collected the silverware.
Nearest the pin on the par three fifth hole with a shot to 4ft was David Wilkinson, while the winner of the highest total score on all the par threes was Bob Rayner.
