Sudbury Motor Cycle Club riders competed in round one of the GH Motorcycles/Husqvarna/Eastern Centre Enduro Championship at Thetford Forest.

The top Sudbury rider was nine-time Eastern Centre champion Chris Hockey, who took sixth place while current champion Jamie Roper managed eighth.

Other riders in the Championship class points were Stevie Roper in 12th, Sam Toy 13th and Steve Mason 15th.

There was strong opposition in the Expert Class, with Darren Nicolaou 11th and Nick Barrett 14th as the best of the Sudbury riders.

Gavin Hockey riding in the Expert Veteran Class for the first time was second overall, with Phil Roper fourth, Nick Ames fifth, Richard Walters 11th, Andy Quorn 12th and Mark Green 14th.

In the Clubman class, Alex Rampton made his mark by securing second place by one-hundredth of a second, while Ryan McDonnell finished sixth, Alex Walton 11th and Martin Greenaway finished 15th in his first full season.
