Daisy Partridge navigated her way to a superb podium finish as she made her international orienteering debut for England at the Interland Cup.
The 14-year-old Hedingham School pupil had been picked for the national team to compete on the North Downs in Surrey after winning an individual gold medal at the British Schools Score Championships last year.
At the Interland Cup she and her English team-mates were up against other youngsters from France, the Netherlands and Belgium, with Partridge the fastest of the four England runners as she took third place in the under-17 girls’ category.
Her performance helped England win both the Youth Trophy and the Interland Cup.
