Halstead Town manager Mark Benterman has strengthened his squad with a couple of loan signings from Thurlow Nunn League premier division sides as they bid to end their season on a positive note.
Benterman has brought in striker Karl Andrade from Whitton United, while winger Jake Plane has joined on a deal from Stanway Rovers and expects them to be involved in upcoming Thurlow Nunn League division one and Division One Knockout Cup games.
He said: “Neither Karl Andrade nor Jake Plane were getting regular game time at their clubs and we needed cover so I spoke to their respective managers and said why not come here and get fit by playing here.
“We could struggle until the end of the season or we could fight for a top-eight position, which would be a fantastic finish for us, and try to make it into the final of the Division One Knockout Cup.
“We have the semi-final coming up and neither Karl nor Jake are cup tied so I hope they’ll be with us at Great Yarmouth.”
