Halstead Road Runners’ cross-country teams rounded off the 53-12 Cross-Country League season with a decent performance at the final round at Hadleigh.
The series was cut short due to the Hylands Park race being cancelled this year and that meant Halstead’s chances of promotion to pool A were slim.
However, strong performances once again in the men’s team from Bradley Doe and Rosie Atkins for the ladies meant Halstead finished third in pool B.
Stuart Prestney, Nathan Roulson, Bob Langley, Juan De Gea and Jim Clark scored for the men’s team at Hadleigh, while Atkins and Lorraine Garnham were the ladies’ scorers. A mention must also go to all those who have competed in the series this season, including Andy Carter, Alistair Godfrey, Sam Wolton, Wendy Carter, Kathryn Bronson and Hazel Buist.
