Manager Mark Benterman hopes Halstead Town are beginning to see light at the end of their injury tunnel.
The Humbugs have endured a torrid list of injuries so far this season that have seen them struggle to stay in the Thurlow Nunn League division one promotion race.
However, Benterman feels they are starting to put some better form together and hopes that draws for his depleted squad against Swaffham Town and AFC Sudbury Reserves in their last two games show they are now heading in the right direction.
He said: “Fans can see that it has been a difficult time, but I think we can all see some light at the end of the tunnel.
“The only game we’ve not played well in was against Great Yarmouth, but now we’re looking like a team again.”
The 1-1 draw in their post-Christmas game against AFC Sudbury Reserves saw Jonah Gosling put Town ahead before their local rivals equalised after the break and Benterman was pleased with their application.
The point they took kept Halstead ninth in the division one standings and seven points off third place ahead of today’s home game against Debenham LC at Rosemary Lane.
